Bob Archer pointed this addition to be considered:

As you may or may not know, Microsoft announced a new dynamic language runtime (DLR) initiative recently at the Mix ’07 conference. They also have such projects in house as IronPython which is a Pyton implementation in .Net and also the newly announced IronRuby which is a Ruby implementation in .Net.

You have to ask Microsoft if they can put resources towards development languages that have a small if any MS following why they can’t put some resources onto an IronFoxPro. FoxPro would be the perfect dynamic language to add to the .Net stable of languages.

It is already a Microsoft portfolio language. Is has a huge installed user and application base. It will solve the problem of providing a migration path for tens of thousands of VFP developers who have recently been orphaned and are expected to move to VB.Net.

Anyway. I just thought if the letter gave some consideration to pointing out parallels or examples of MS investing development resources with little or no return that this could be applied to VFP where there could actually be a return.
